The Sales Associate will report to Sales & Student Success Director.

 

Job Overview:

Working in the newly expanded Merchant GMAT & Admissions sales team you will be responsible for driving sales and business growth, working at one of the most exciting and talented, education businesses in Latin America.

 

Working with a team of internal sales associates you will be calling on, selling to and closing deals with the most talented Latin American business professionals, whose  aim is to get into top post graduate program business schools such as Harvard, MIT, Columbia, and London to ultimately reach their career and lifestyle dreams.

 

Merchant is a US business based out of Buenos Aires, Argentina. After consistently doubling revenues every year, for the last 7 years, we are aggressively expanding into surrounding LATAM countries (Mexico, Peru, Columbia, Chile) and investing significantly in making our dreams of owning the LATAM market a reality. You will be compensated well and before you get started you will go through a rigorous one month training program aimed at getting you up to speed with everything MBA related, as well as making sure you are ready to hit the ground running,closing deals and earning commission quickly.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

 

  • Call on, sell on and close deals with MBA candidates, selling Merchant’s GMAT prep and Admissions consulting services to customers across Latin America
  • Consult with and develop relationships with at least five potential clients every working day
  • Hit and exceed your individual monthly sales goals, while contributing to the overall success of the wider team and business 
  • Manage sales pipeline in Zoho CRM and make sure that all relevant information on each deal is communicated to the Sales & Student Success Director
  • Collaborate with the internal sales team to facilitate the lead generation process and maximize the number of sales opportunities for yourself and the business
  • Communicate and build strong relationships with our coaches to coordinate the smooth execution of trial classes, a key component of the sales process
  • Take responsibility for your own learning and development, studying and immersing yourself in the MBA world and understanding the transformative impact that going through the MBA process offers to our customers

 

An ideal candidate:

  • Are you fluent in English?
  • Do you have 4 years experience working in sales or people oriented business roles?
  • Are you a relationship builder who feels comfortable communicating via video chat apps like Zoom?
  • Do you enjoy telling stories and can sell without being an overt seller?
  • Do you understand the importance of preparation and being well organized?
  • Do you have a growth mentality and always want to improve yourself?
  • Do you have a strong work effort, accepting that to get results, sometimes we have to grind them out?
  • Do you have a passion in your life and looking for a job that will support and actively help you achieve your dreams?
  • Do you feel gratification in helping individuals achieve their career and lifestyle dreams?
  • Do you have a Bachelor’s Degree?

Hours and Salary

  • You will work 40 hours a week
  • You will work from your home office so a good internet connection and laptop or PC will be needed
  • Salary: $800 base salary and further $700 monthly bonus (uncapped)
